Choose to Shine
Choose to Shine
I love music. There probably aren’t many moments in my life where it isn’t playing in the background. Or a personal soundtrack playing quietly in my mind as I go about my day.
I am the woman that dances around her house or her office. The woman singing terribly off-key while driving the car. You know the one, the one you see kind of dancing kind of walking down the street. A mini, little, solo flash mob. Where the dance moves are way more elaborate in my head, I am holding back because I know I am on the side of the road, laughs!
On one of my recent adventures, this song found its way into my playlist;

We have the power to choose to see and be the things in this song. We can choose to see each other as people. See each other as allies rather than enemies. We have experienced countless times through history, what division creates. More division.
We can choose to recognise that we are all different and all the same.
We can choose to see light, we can choose to mow the weeds.
We can choose to spend each day shaping the world. Shaping ourselves. Instead of succumbing to it shaping us.
We get to choose what are worlds look and feel like.
If we choose to actively create the worlds we want, it may just be contagious.
I hope if nothing else, this song gives you goosebumps. And hope. A good combination.
Bravo Mitch Rossell.
